Fall is suede's best season. It layers naturally over a lightweight knit or ribbed turtleneck, and the earthy tones that suede comes in align perfectly with an autumn palette. Deep winter is where it has limits: suede is not built for heavy rain, snow, or sustained cold. In those conditions, use it as a mid-layer under a heavier coat, or save it for dry days. For the shoulder months from September through November and March through May, it is one of the most versatile pieces you can reach for.
